Appearing alongside their fully-clothed male costar Cory Monteith, Glee actresses Lea Michele and Dianna Agron are shown scantily clad in the pictures, wearing only bras and panties or short skirts and midriff-baring tops.

Despite the fact that the actresses are both 24-years-old and Monteith is 28, the Parents Television Council (PTC) said the spread 'borders on paedophilia.'

'It is disturbing that GQ, which is explicitly written for adult men, is sexualizing the actresses who play high school-aged characters on Glee in this way. It borders on paedophilia,' PTC president Tim Winter said in a statement.

Winter argued the 'near-pornographic' photos, which also feature what he calls a 'full-frontal crotch shot,' were overly sexualized and suggested the FOX show was moving in a direction that 'isn’t good for families.'
Michele, 24, said she was inspired to get into acting and music by Barbra Streisand's character in Funny Girl in the November issue of GQ magazine, the New York Post reported.

'She's like, 'I can't sing about how beautiful I am because I'm not beautiful,' she said.

Michele says she was never one of the pretty girls as a teen and was ostracized for not getting a nose job, 'I was one of the only girls in my high school that didn't get one... And if anybody needed it, I probably did. But my mom always told me, 'Barbra Streisand didn't get a nose job. You're not getting a nose job.' And I didn't.'

She added, 'I'm proud to be on a positive show and to be a voice for girls and say, 'You don't need to look like everybody else. Love who you are.'

Co-stars Cory Monteith and Dianna Agron also appear in the racy photo shoot, with Agron admitting she's 'never been shot in so little clothing.'
